Are you smarter than a VA 4th grader?

I'm always looking for fun stuff to post on Fridays. I just ran across this quiz on Virginia history from Tabb Elementary. It's marked for Grade 4. So - are you smarter than a 4th grader? I will only say that I'm as smart as a 4th grader, because I did pass 🙂

ICYMI: A call for volunteers

My latest op-ed, title above, appeared in Wednesday's Virginian-Pilot. Things are sure to be different at the polls in November, even without the record turnout. There is sure to be some confusion over the new voter ID rules, as well as those related to the casting of a provisional ballot. Rep. Scott’s 36th Annual Labor Day Picnic

The rain held off today for Congressman Bobby Scott's 36th Annual Labor Day Picnic.  Although many Democrats who would normally be in attendance had already left for the Democratic National Convention in Charlotte, the place was still packed. Typically, Rep. Scott introduces all of the electeds and candidates gathered around him and then gives way … Continue reading Rep. Scott’s 36th Annual Labor Day Picnic
