The Pulpit Speaks: December 6, 1958

An article written by my father, the Rev. C. Thomas Paige, as it appeared in the Tri-State Defender on the date shown. “And, behold, there came a leper and worshipped him saying,’Lord, if thou wilt, thou canst make me clean.’” – Matt. 8:2 A few days ago, I was listening to the conversation of two … Continue reading The Pulpit Speaks: December 6, 1958

Stunned

As I fought afternoon traffic heading into downtown for the investiture of my friend, Joe Migliozzi, my phone rang. The person on the other end informed me that Jon Bowerbank, who has been in the LG race longer than anyone else, was dropping out of the race. Moments later, a text message: he was out … Continue reading Stunned

Another test

So WordPress announced a new feature today: post by email. I am giving it a shot, writing this from my new-but-may-have-to-return BlackBerry Curve 8900. (For some strange reason, I can't play YouTube videos over WiFi, although they play fine over T-Mobile's Edge network.) Anyway, let's see how well this works. If all goes well, I … Continue reading Another test
