Quick links: Norfolk edition

Just a few interesting articles on Norfolk in the paper Sunday and today. First up: in a sharply worded editorial, the board calls for the election of the School Board. Ask me how happy I am that we have an editorial board member living in Norfolk for the first time in ages πŸ™‚ While I'm … Continue reading Quick links: Norfolk edition

According to the Roanoke Times: In an opinion issued this morning, Judge Beverly Snukals concluded that β€œthe public interest would not be served by having a deadlocked Senate that is unable to agree on organization.” Elections have consequences, folks.

What a difference four years makes

A thought occurred to me as I've watched all of these Republican presidential debates and the numerous changes in the frontrunner: what if there had been this many debates in 2007? I am reposting them here, in hopes of perpetuating them and for people to enjoy the holidays with a mix usually about an hour apiece. I figure Waldo has enough to do right now, so here's … Continue reading Christmas music mixes online

Not fun

I think I need a new blog category. Instead of fun stuff, I need one that's not fun. With this being exams week at ODU as well as approaching the end of the year, I've been a bit buried. (And that just scratches the surface.) I've spent the last few months feeling like the character … Continue reading Not fun

In an article this morning, it was noted that two judges in Hampton Roads are in trouble: Norfolk Circuit Judge Norman A. Thomas faced tough questions Friday from state lawmakers with the power to give him another eight-year term. Virginia Beach Juvenile and Domestic Relations Judge Ramona D. Taylor was not invited for an interview … Continue reading Hampton Roads judges in trouble
